2018 is here, and with that you may be planning your next luxury destination, but where to? And, chances are, you aren’t the only people floating this question.

According to the Huffington Post, in 2009, 30 million Americans took vacations overseas. So, you are definitely one among many.

But while that may leave you feeling less alone, it doesn’t answer your pining question: where should you visit this upcoming year? Which brings us to this article; read on to find out more about some of the top luxury destinations you may want to consider in 2018.
1. San Francisco, United States
Just because San Francisco isn’t an overseas vacation does not mean it is any less luxurious of a travel destination. In fact, it has everything a city can offer. If you’re in the mood for Chinese food, head on down to Chinatown. Want some Italian food? Step on over to Little Italy. To say San Francisco is a cultural city does not do it justice.
Speaking of which, some tourist favorites include walking along Fisherman’s Wharf, touring Alcatraz (considered the supermax prison in its day), and watch Beach Blanket Babylon. No matter what you do, you are bound to enjoy the sights.

2. Seville, Spain
Now, take an international trip over to Seville, Spain—one of the most religious (and hottest) regions. There, enjoy watching a passionate flamenco dance and feast on tapas. Also, if you are visiting in the Spring, be sure to witness Semana Santa (otherwise known as Holy Week), with Feria following it weeks after.
Semana Santa is perhaps the most catholic celebration in the world, celebrating the life and death of Jesus. No matter what religious affiliation you are, this is a cultural experience you don’t want to miss out on.

3. Paris, France

When people think of romantic destinations, Paris is on the top of the list. Paris is one of the luxurious destinations since it houses some of the most beautiful pieces of art—think the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre museum.
Walk along the bridge of locks, eat a traditional French crepe, and walk the Champs-Elysee. Whatever you plan to do, it will be filled with romance and beauty.

4. New York, United States

Now back to the United States, plan to stay a week in New York City and experience the City That Never Sleeps. Take a tour of Ellis Island and eat matzah ball soup at a Jewish deli. Also, take a stroll in Central Park and, if it is during the winter, skate at Rockefeller Center. Overall, you are sure to enjoy your time spent in New York City.
