Last night we arrived to Charleston, West Virginia. It was my third stay through airbnb, but my husband declared that it would be our last one. Hehe. You will ask why?! I guess this time we didn’t have a very good experience, because of our weird host and the place was in a really odd place. It was totally safe and peaceful. I was satisfied with everything, except that it was strange to have someone walking around above us in the house. The experience was kind of awkward. I could not even sleep or would wake up often, because footsteps were creaking and other noises were coming from upstairs constantly. We had a totally separate basement room with a TV, bedroom, bathroom and wonderful view to garden. But man, If you are not used to living with strangers, I would recommend you stay in hotel (though, you might hear noises there too, or maids may bother you in the morning). The difference between airbnb and hotel is being in someone’s living space versus something more transient. You can rent an apartment and feel like you are living there. But the one thing that bothers me, there is pressure to leave a good review for your host, so he will give you a good review too. I guess it is on depends on you! But I think the best is airbnb if you stay for several nights and have a big family vacation! It will save your money and everyone will feel like they’re at home! I’m sure that I will try my experience somewhere else (lol, I guess not with my husband).
